दैनिक महानायक चे संपादक आणि दलित चळवळीतले आघाडीचे युवा नेते सुनील खोब्रागडे यांनी नुकताच अमेरिकन वकिलातीवर मोर्चा काढला होता. त्यांनी उपस्थित केलेले मुद्दे फेसबुक वर मोठ्या प्रमाणात शेअर होत आहेत. दुर्दैवाने ही माहीती राष्ट्रीय मेडीयामधे मिळत नाहीये.

Her campaign was seriously damaged during its final two months by the revelation that she had employed an illegal immigrant as a nanny and housekeeper, and by the alleged manner in which she treated (and fired) the housekeeper. 6 )David Blunkett, a British politician living in USA charged for fast tracking a visa application for his family's nanny in 2004 but criminal prosecution was not initiated against him.

या गुन्ह्याबाबत कायदेशीर प्रक्रिया भारतीय न्यायालयात सुरु आहे.ती दुर्लक्षित करून प्रीत भराराने कारवाईचा जो उत्साह दाखविला आहेत्यावरून हे प्रकरण इतके सरळ नाही हेच दिसते.
यामागे निश्चितच वैय्यक्तिक सूड घेण्याचा उद्देश,जातीय द्वेष इत्यादी अनेक करणे असू शकतात.
या प्रकरणात तक्रार करणारा प्रीत भरारा व प्रीत भरारा च्या कारवाईचे समर्थन करीत देवयानी खोब्रागडे यांना diplomatic संरक्षण नाही असे म्हणणारी अमेरिकन सरकारची सहाय्यक सचिव निशा देसाई बिस्वाल हे दोघेही उच्च जातीय म्हणविणारे भारतीय मूळ असलेले अमेरिकन नागरिक आहेत हा योगायोग असू शकत नाही.
या अनुषंगाने अमेरिकेच्या दुटप्पी वर्तनाचा इरसाल मासला पहावयास मिळतो.
१३ आगष्ट २०११ रोजी चेन्नई येथील अमेरिकन वाणिज्य दूतावासातील उप वाणिज्य दूत श्रीमती Maureen Chao हिने चेन्नैतील SRM विद्यापीठात व्याख्यान देताना तमिळ लोकांची त्वचा काळी आणि घाणेरडी असते असे वंशद्वेषी उद्गार काढलेहोते.याबाबत तिच्याविरुद्ध कारवाई करण्यासाठी मुख्यमंत्री जयललीथा हिने भारत सरकारला लिहिले.त्यावेळी अमेरिकेच्या परराष्ट्र व्यवहार प्रमुख हिलेरी क्लिंटन यांनी Maureen Chao हिला विएन्ना करारानुसार diplomatic संरक्षण असल्याचा मुद्दा पुढे करून तिला संरक्षण दिले होते.देवयानी खोब्रागडेच्या बाबतीत मात्र diplomatic संरक्षण लागू होत नाही असे निशा देसाई बिस्वाल म्हणते.
